WELCOME TO THE LITTLE HICKMAN CHRISTIAN CHURCH WEB PAGE
We are a small country church in rural Jessamine County where God has blessed our services for over 175 years. Brother Lee Baltzer is our minister and May 16, 2022 marked his fortieth year anniversary. We welcome everyone to come as you are and experience a warm reception and the feeling that you are at home with your new church family.
We are located at the intersection of Little Hickman Road and Brumfield Lane in Jessamine County KY. Click the See Map button below to view a map for directions. Have A Blessed Day.
We believe in one true and living God, who expresses Himself as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who was crucified, buried and then arose to atone for the sins of all people, and that He is the only Way to eternal life. We accept the Bible as the divinely inspired, inerrant Word of God, and our only rule of faith and practice. “We have no creed but Christ, and no book but the Bible.” We believe that the gift of salvation is accepted by: Believing in Jesus Christ as our divine Savior (Mark 16:16) Sincerely repenting of our sins (Acts 2:38) Confessing our faith in Jesus publicly (Romans 10:9) Being baptized by immersion in the likeness of His death, burial and resurrection (Romans 6:3-5) We believe God established one church (Acts 2), composed of all who accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, and we offer a loving spirit to those who love Jesus but differ from us in doctrinal teaching.
We seek to contribute to the unity of believers rather than to the divisions which divide them. We are an independent Christian church and desire to be non-denominational instead of adding to the numerous religious denominations. We want to be “Christians only”, but not “the only Christians”. Our aim is to restore the church as it is patterned in the New Testament, and to respect differences of opinion on matters that are not mandated in Scripture. “In matters of faith, unity …. in matters of opinion liberty … in all things love.” We believe it is our mission to share the good news of the gospel wherever we can, to demonstrate true Christian love in all our relationships, and to build up one another in faith and understanding of God's will.
